The defect or malfunction, which is not covered under warranty, will not be repaired and the lighter will be returned to you without any repair work performed .  If we do decide to perform a repair work on the malfunction or defect of the lighter, which is not covered by the warranty, there will be an extra repair charge in addition to the regular repair/warranty service fee of $9.00 ($12.00 if you reside outside of the U.S.). 

If the malfunction or defect is not covered by the warranty, your lighter will be returned to you with a card shown on the left.  The card lists the reason why no repair work was performed on your lighter.

The below are some examples of what is not covered by the warranty.  If the defect or malfunction of your lighter is any of those shown in the below pictures, your lighter will be returned to you without any repair work performed.  Please do not return your lighter to Prometheus Service Center if your lighter has any of the below defects.
