In 1992, the Fuente family planted the first seeds of the wrapper leaves for Fuente Fuente OpusX at Chateau de la Fuenta in Dominican Republic. In 1993, the first FFOX cigars were made with this legendary wrapper. In commemoration of the Fuente Fuente OpusX Tenth Anniversary, Prometheus International, Inc. produced 100 FFOX Forbidden X humidors in 2002. 100 FFOX Forbidden X humidors were produced in three different veneers.

The Prometheus 2002 Limited Edition FFOX Forbidden X humidors were cabinet humidors. Each humidor had two doors and when you open these doors, you will find seven drawers. Each drawer is equipped with a Prometheus Optima humidifier and digital hygrometer/thermometer. The front facade of the drawer is finished with the same veneer as the outside and the inside of the drawer is lined with natural Mahogany veneer. Storage capacity of each drawer is over 75 cigars.
